WHAT IS A FIRST NIGHT PARTY?
These parties will start in the evening around 7pm and typically will finish around 11pm . Each party will include delicious BBQ, live music, wine, soft drinks, and cold beer.
WHY DO WE HAVE A FIRST NIGHT PARTY?
The main purpose of the parties is to introduce the tour members to each other, the Austin BurtonC Rocks staff, and to the lifestyle of Austin. Every party will be loads of fun and every effort will be made to make each party memorable.
WHAT HAPPENS IF WE CANNOT ATTEND THE FIRST NIGHT PARTY?
For those who cannot make the party, there will be other chances to meet the BurtonC Rocks tour staff members. Of course, there will be many other opportunities to enjoy live Austin music and/or BBQ during each tour.
ARE THERE OTHER ACTIVITIES PLANNED DURING EACH TOUR?
Each BurtonC Rocks tour will also include a trip to the nearby San Marcos outlet mall. The San Marcos Outlet Mall is one of the most popular places to shop in the state of Texas. Every Japanese guest will thoroughly enjoy the trip to the outlet mall. Prices are great and most of the major retail establishments have their stores there. Anyone can check the mall out at their website http://www.primeoutlets.com/locations/san-marcos.aspx We plan to leave for the mall around 11am and return to Austin around 4pm .
WHEN DO WE GET TO AUSTIN CITY LIMITS THE FESTIVAL?
The BurtonC Rocks ACL tours will arrive in Austin on Wednesday for a festival that begins on Friday.
WHEN ARE THE TRIPS TO THE OUTLET MALL SHOPPING CENTER?
The BurtonC Rocks SXSW tours will arrive in Austin on Tuesday one day prior to the festival, and the trip to the Outlet Mall will be on Thursday afternoon, before the music starts in the evening. For ACL participants the trip to the Outlet Mall will be on Thursday, a day prior to the ACL festival.
WHEN IS THE TOUR OVER?
Both festival tours will have everyone going back to Japan the day after each festival ends. Of course those who would like to stay longer can do that also.
Additionally, we plan to visit other interesting areas around Austin and perhaps even take a walk, about 1 and a half hours, to the Stevie Ray Vaughan statue on Lady Bird Lake in downtown Austin.
